the Price of Jazz Dance Lessons

I paid for a private dance lesson for myself. It was a jazz class. The cost was 60 dollars per hour paid in check to the instructor.

The quality of the dance lesson is great. Individual instruction is very helpful for dancers who are trying to perfect their skills. The instructor started out with an individualized workout to warm up the body. Then we did "Across the floor" movements which focused mainly on different turns that are frequently used in jazz dance. The last 20 minutes of the lesson were used to work on a routine. The instructor had already choreographed the routine and taught it to me. The routine included some of the dance moves and turns that I learned and worked on in the "Across the floor section"

Most dance instructors will offer individualized lessons. Find an instructor whose personality and dance technique you like and ask them if they would be willing to give you individualized lessons. It also helps a lot to take group classes, and they are a lot cheaper. However if you are looking to work on a specific move or something of that sort, individual lessons are the best way to go because the teacher can format the entire lesson to fit what you want to work on. I would definitely recommend doing this for any dancer!
