Description of service
This spring I got my boat out to have some fun on the water. I went to the dock to drop the boat in the water and I immedately noticed a leak. Water was filling into the boat, and fast. I took the boat out of the water and went straight to the mechanics. They looked over the boat and found where the water was coming in. The total cost to fix it was $450. Which included parts (which were pretty expesive) and labor.
Review of Service
I'm glad my boat is fixed, but it hurt me alot with the price. Since I wanted to get it fixed quickly, I took it to the dealers mechanics (I should have known better) and they always charge top notch money for repairs. I really feel like I got ripped off, because I could have had it fixed for half that price at other places. One thing I did like was how they cleaned my boat. It looked almost like new when I picked it up from repair.
Tips
Don't go to the dealers mechanic - unless you're under warranty, which I wasn't - becuase they will charge you an arm and a leg. Find other boat mechanics in your phone book, or online and call around to different places to compare quotes.
