Description of service

While pregnant with our third child we sought prenatal care with a certified professional midwife. She provided our complete basic prenatal care including monitoring the health and wellness of me and our unborn baby, tracking our progress through the pregnancy and making any necessary referrals to other providers. One thing not included was the price of ultrasound examination. If a patient would like to have an ultrasound that would need to be scheduled with another provider.

Review of Service

My husband and I were thoroughly happy with the service we were provided. Our midwife was very attentive and always responded quickly to our needs and questions. Her service was really quite inexpensive in relationship to other providers. She was actually more helpful than other providers I have used or heard of in the area.

Tips

It is important to know what you are looking for in a prenatal care provider before setting out to find one. Price should really not be a consideration, or at least not a deal breaker. What is most important is to find someone who supports your wants and needs around childbirth and hopefully that person will fit in to your budget. If not, providers often offer payment plans to those who cannot afford their services, so that is something you may want to ask about.
