Description of service
When I found out that I was expecting my third child, I needed to find a new prenatal care specialist. I was worried because the economy is so bad and I did not have a large amount of money to spend on the doctor's visits. I did not have insurance at the time and was afraid, but I found a doctor who worked with the county. He charged 60.00 but the state picks up half so you only have to pay 30.00. This cost breaks down into an office visit, a check up, prenatal vitamins, and lamaze classes if need be.
Review of Service
I love every minute that I spent at the doctor because he was an older family practice doctor and really made it feel as if you were at home in his office. Even though it was a government assisted program, he did not take the attitude that he didn't care. He was very warm, caring and helpful. There were many times that I could not afford my medications that I needed and he would help me by providing samples. He was also very helpful in directing me to services such as welfare, foodstamps and other services that help families in need.
Tips
Don't be afraid to ask. I found out that the only stupid question is the one that you do not ask! Many doctors have discounts that can help or other links to services that they can help with but many feel they don't want to intrude and won't help.
