the Price of Prenatal Care

Price for prenatal services without insurance. Services include full 9 months of pregnancy with visits every month and weekly visits in last month of pregnancy. Initial visit verifies pregnancy and includes a short physical to establish health of mother. Each proceeding visit includes a check of all vital signs including a urine sample, weight of mother and a check of the fetal heart beat. All other services needed in pregnancy such as blood work and ultrasounds are not included in this price.

Doctor and nurse staff was very compassionate and understanding. Doctor always gave time during each visit for my questions and concerns and was understanding toward my decisions about the pregnancy. Certain blood work and tests were required, but the optional tests were not pushed nor was I pressured to have additional procedures. Doctor also preformed ultrasounds in the office during visits in addition to hearing the heart beat.

Always arrive at visit ready to give a urine sample. They check for sugar and protein levels through this. It is easier just to be prepared for it. Don't be afraid to ask questions--questions you may have about being pregnant and questions about the doctor too, especially if it is your first encounter with the doctor.
