Description of service
When I became pregnant with my second child, I decided on a new doctor for prenatal care. I have full coverage health insurance through my husbands job, so the only out of pocket costs for my prenatal visits, were my co-pay payments. I saw the doctor every month and during the last month, I went every week. The doctor would do a urine check and weigh in at each visit in addition to listening to the babies heartbeat. Any other concerns I had were also addressed. Once the baby was delivered, our out of pocket cost for the doctor was $500.
Review of Service
I feel I had a very high quality of service for my prenatal care. The doctors and nurses were very knowledgeable and professional and they addressed any concern I had. I have no complaints about my prenatal care and would go back to the same practice if I had another baby. I feel we received great healthcare for the amount of money we spent.
Tips
I would recommend talking to friends and family about their prenatal experience with their doctor and possibly choosing a doctor that they would recommend. Really the only way to know if you are going to like a doctor is to get as much feedback from others as possible and maybe even schedule an appointment. If you don't like the doctor, you don't have to stick with them throughout your whole pregnancy. You are free to find another doctor you really like as long as you keep up with your prenatal care schedule.
