Description of service
I recently had a mole excised. I made my appointment and showed up. They took me into a room, and I waited. The doctor cut the mole off and I went home.
Review of Service
I was lying on a table. I was terrified. I felt like I was waiting for the lethal injection the state gives murderers. Then she came in with the syringe. My terror turned to an intense panic. She jabbed the needle into my forehead, which felt more weird than painful. That was the worst part. The doctor waited for the local anesthesia to set in and went to work. With a quick flick of his wrist the mole was gone. I was afraid for no reason at all. Even after the procedure the pain and discomfort was minimal. My greatest concern going into the procedure was that it may leave a scar. The doctor and I discussed this at length. In the end there is a tiny little mark the doctor says will fade away into nothingness.
Tips
I found there are several methods for removing a mole. It can be excised (cut off), it can be frozen off, and some times it can be bleached. I chose to have it cut off. It was quicker and there's less of a chance of it coming back. Ask your doctor what's best for you.
