Description of service
I freckle very easily and also have many moles. They seem to be multiplying over the years as I know I have more know than I did a few years ago. Last year when I was 6 weeks pregnant with my son I went to the dermatologist because my skin was breaking out. There wasn't much she could give me while I was pregnant but she offered to do a body scan for me while I was there. The doctor noticed a few moles on my stomach and did not like the way two of them looked. The colors weren't solid and there weren't any defined boundaries. She said that I should have them removed immediately because pregnancy can cause a lot of changes in moles. She numbed the area and cut out the moles using a scalpel. She then stitched me up and told me she would be in touch with the results. I ended up having to have a little more removed off of each of the stitched up areas but everything is fine now.
Review of Service
The service I received was great. I obviously wasn't happy with the two big scars that were only getting larger on my growing belly, but it a fair trade to be cancer free. 18 months later and the scars have faded to my own skin color and are not near as noticeable as they first were.
Tips
My best tip would be to go to your dermatologist annually and have a body scan done for moles. Oh and of course wear sunscreen everyday no matter where you are going!
