the Price of Mole Removal

This was the price for the copay for the dermatology treatment. I went to the dermatologist to have a mole on my back looked at. I forget how I even found this mole because I can't see it where it is, but it looked suspicious and I have a family history of skin cancer. The dermatologist did not think it looked cancerous but the family history made him cautious so he froze it off. It left a little scar but again, it's on my back so no one can really see it. It turned out not to be cancerous but I was really glad to get it taken off just to make sure!

The doctor was great and took my concerns seriously. I was afraid that he would sort of just shake his head and tell me it was probably nothing without listening to me. My cousin's skin cancer metastasized into thyroid cancer so I am very concerned now! Although I still don't use sunscreen as much as I should. I was glad to have it removed and tested rather than just continuing to worry.

If your doctor doesn't take you seriously, get a new one. It sounds harsh, but you really want a doctor who will listen and not just blow off your concerns. That was the most important thing to me.
