Description of service

The price for this service is a monthly fee of $167 for three years for a total cost of $6,000. The services offered by this Karate school included unlimited Karate classes, taught by a mater, for the students level and below. The classes are held daily with monthly testing to allow the student to advance to the next level. The price of this contract includes the Gi (Karate attire) and white belt. However, this fee does not include advancement testing and advancement belts.

Review of Service

The quality of the services I received was not up to par. Classes were not always taught by a master instructor but were sometimes taught by advance students. Although, this allows the advance student to advance in his or her training it is not the service that is specified in the contract. Additionally, classes would start late or be cancelled with no advanced notice. However, when the master instructors were present, the classes were efficient, informative and enabled me to advance in my karate skills.

Tips

I strongly suggest that a prospective student talk to students who have been in the class for a short period (3-6 months) to see how they feel about the class. Also, shop around and do not choose a school based on location but based on customer reviews, membership size, and years in business. I would also suggest finding a school that offers a monthly membership or a short-term contract.
