Remember that karate classes often charge extra for belt testing, so that's something you will want to look into. Lastly, think realistically about how often you'll be going to class, since some schools have a punch card system where it would be much cheaper to pay for a set number of lessons if you're only going to go once a week, for example, whereas it will be more cost effective to pay for the "unlimited" memberships if you'll be attending many sessions each week. Since karate lessons aren't cheap, I really recommend disciplining yourself to go as much as you can and do some exercise and practice the rest of the week so you're making the most of your money.
