Description of service
This fee was for a three month unlimited class. There were approximately 4 nights per week but you could choose to attend more as well. The fee does not include any equipment such as hand, foot, head, mouth, waist guards. It does, however, cover the price of the uniform which consited of the upper wrap and bottom pants. They were all white and very starchy. The price of belts accumulated were included in the fee as well. Tax was not included. Gratuity was not expected or accepted.
Review of Service
The karate class was taken in order to boost self confidence and help with socialization of my child. The instructors had a little bit of pompousness to them and seemed a little full of themselves. They have people that kind of drill you into taking the class and making it sound wonderful such as confidence, self esteem, restepct for others and self and for overall wellness. Then they take your money and force you to purchase additional equipment. The classes were awkward and all people of different ages were included in one class. I felt a little uncomfortable with that. My child got bored easily as well. I also thought the instructors weren't very competant with teaching karate. It just seemed like little punches and kicks. I felt as if overall it was a major waste of money.
Tips
I suggest really investigating several places and several types of activities before paying and commiting to one. See if you can have a practice session. See if equipment is included before paying. And make sure your child is determined.
