Description of service
I paid 120.00 for a month of beginning level Karate classes at a karate studio. This price paid for two lessons a week. The lessons are one hour classes in the evening in a group of 10 students. We are all adults, a mix of male and female. There is one instructor. The price of class did not include the price of a uniform, but we are allowed to wear sweats or other loose clothing like yoga pants and t-shirt.
Review of Service
I thought the class was excellent and I'm planning on signing up again for the next level. The class always started and ended on time, which was nice because I had a babysitter to think of. The instructor was very knowledgeable, He was pleasant to work with and I think made a real effort to make sure we understood what we were trying to learn. He was patient. (Some of the moves were a little hard to get down).
The studio was very plain but always clean and was in a safe neighborhood.
Tips
Plan to get there a little early to stretch and chat with your classmates, it makes it more fun. Once class starts there is no time to socialize. Ask about additional expenses like a uniform up front, and if there is a dress code. Make sure you are in a class suitable for your ability level. If you are a beginner, stick to the beginner classes. Plan on taking another session if the first goes well, there is so much to learn, 4 weeks is not enough!
