Description of service
I took advantage of a $20 service that offered unlimited rentals of non-new releases and a discount on new release fees.
Review of Service
My family rents a lot of movies so initially the idea of joining a plan to rent unlimited DVDs for $20 a month sounded like a great deal. In the end it didn't turn out to be a great plan for us.
First of all, and this is our fault, we did not read the agreement carefully and didn't realize new releases weren't included. While it was in the membership agreement, we felt the people who worked there should have told us when we bought it. The other issue with the new releases was that the movies were considered new releases for 6 months after being released on DVD. This seemed like a long time to us.
The first few weeks we took advantage of the plan and did love it. However, as time went on, we felt a lot of pressure to rent movies almost every night to get the most for our money. While it was probably less money than we would have spent in a month on DVDs, it wasn't worth the hassle.
Tips
Make sure you always read the membership agreement so that you totally understand what you're signing up for.
