the Price of Trumpet Lessons

My son has been in his high school band for almost two years now and has really enjoyed it, but he has been struggling lately to read and play the more complex music. So my son and I decided that he should try private lessons at a local music shop. We heard about the man who gives the trumpet lessons through the school band since other kids also use him. $60 was the cost of one hour long lesson. From what I have heard this is a fairly standard price for private lessons. It is a bit expensive, but I feel it's worth the cost.

The results have been amazing. My son now tells me that he has moved up two chairs since he started taking lessons and that his ultimate goal is to make it to first chair. This is something that he never would have imagined being possible before he started taking lessons. Whatever this man has taught my son is working great and I'm so proud that my son feels better about his music.

Now a days private music lessons are almost mandatory for some high school bands. You have to be as dedicated as if you were playing a varsity sport. It's nice to know that these kids who work so hard can get that little edge to help them be better at what they do.
