the Price of Trumpet Lessons

This is the price we paid for two private trumpet lessons for our oldest son. He is very interested in joining the school band next year, but we wanted to make sure this would be something he would be interested in before we made a huge commitment. A student majoring in music at a local college offered to give him two private lessons to teach him some basics and to show him how the instrument is cared for to keep it in good shape. The lessons lasted for two hours each and the teacher came to our home for the lessons and brought a trumpet for our son to use.

We did not want to make a large investment of time and money only to have our son decide he did not really want to play the trumpet! This was a great way to find out if this was something he wanted to do for the long haul. The teacher was professional, efficient, and fun. As it turns out, my son loves the trumpet and will definitely try out for the band next school year. Overall, I think this was a reasonable amount to pay for this service.

Check out local universities for students offering their services- this is often the best route to go because they are reasonably priced and are sincerely interested in teaching their craft!
