Description of service
I was scheduled to be induced on Nov. 26, 2007 and from the minute I walked in I was scared out of my mind! I was induced to have my first daughter. After 12 hours and no baby, they decided to do a c-section. My stay in the hospital was going to be longer than expected. I had a few problems after the surgery that they could not pin point so I had to stay a few extra days. My right leg would not function at all. They determined it to be temporary nerve damnage. What? The nurses and doctors assured me there was nothing to be scared of.
Review of Service
I stayed 4 days in the hospital, three of which I was unable to get out of bed. The nurses tried to make me as comfortable as possible. But lets face it when you are stuck to a bed, you aren't comfortable. The hospital staff was great. They checked on me hourly. They gave me updates on my baby and if there was no one there to visit me the nurse would stay in a little extra longer to make sure I wasn't in need of anything. I felt relaxed there given the situations.
Tips
If you have to stay overnight at a hospital bring something to occupy you! I would suggest a book, or maybe some word puzzles. Don't be mean to your nurses, they are there to help and comfort you.
