Description of service
I signed up for a weight loss program online in March. There are some terrific tools online that help you achieve your weight loss goals. They have two "diets" that you can choose to follow. Depending on the type of person you are either one can work well. There is a diet journal online that allows you to enter your daily food, plan your daily food intake, boxes that you check in order to visualize how you're doing on your essential daily needs - such as water, fruits & veggies, vitamins, and fats. The cost is 16.95 per month. They also have a one time sign up fee for 29.95. There are online forums to help you if needed. Not only do they have online service but they have phone help and you can go to meetings in your local area as well. Of course, attending meetings are a different price - for example, registration first week fee is $35. There is a weekly fee of $12.00 until week nine. Week 9 and beyond meetings are $9.00. Senior citizens also have a discount. Any person over the age of 65 get their registration and first week meeting for $25 and their weekly fee is $8.00. They'll even go to your work!
Review of Service
If you are ready to lose weight and work at it, then this genuinely works. It's a healthy program that teaches you, or rather, re-teaches you how to eat properly. This is a way of life, not a "diet" - which is the nice thing. You can eat anything you want, however, you definitely have to watch your portion sizes and be reasonable with yourself. The first few weeks are the best because you tend to lose more weight in the initial weeks. I lost 6 my first week, 3 my second week, and 4 my third week. After the first few weeks you lose an average of two pounds per week. Any faster then that and it tends to return fast if you resort to your old way of eating. You can eat out, stay in, go to the movies, go out with friends, and still stick to the plan. It's very easy to follow and anyone can do it if they're ready to put the work into it that weight loss and a change of eating requires. I loved having the online tools - they are especially good for people who need to visualize things in order to fully comprehend them. Not only that, but having a diary, whether it's on paper or digital makes you hold yourself accountable.
Tips
This is a great plan - and I would recommend it to anyone. However, if you're not successful, keep at it until you find something that fits you and your lifestyle. The diet industry is a billion dollar business and there are tons of things you can try before you find the one that works for you. I suggest you do your research before laying down your cold hard cash to lose weight. Most of the time these diets are available in some form on the internet and they will offer free trial periods... this one does. They have a week free period. If you do it for a week and it's for you, stick with it - if not, then go forward to the next thing.. but make sure to cancel your trial period if you don't like it! In the end, I chose to go with another plan, one that is available free of charge but is all over the place...
