the Price of Flute Lessons

I, along with my group of five friends, recently hired a flute teacher to learn the art of playing a flute. Our classes were sort of semi-private as we friends assembled at one place and the teacher used to come to that place twice a week. Normally the cost of private classes is $35 per class, but we paid him $25 per class per person. The duration of each class was to be approximately 40-50 minutes.

I feel that the service we received was quite good and definitely worth the price. The teacher was quite good and exactly knew how to handle each one of us. He bonded with us so well and made us feel very comfortable so that we could learn as per our individual capabilities. Sometimes, the class extended beyond the pre decided duration.

I would suggest you to first take your time and some trial classes, if the need be, to determine whether you can learn in a group or not. The private classes prove to be very costly and some people do not feel very comfortable in group lessons at an institute. So i think that it is best to go in for semi private lessons. Do not go in for cheap manuals and cds as they are generally useless.
