Description of service
This service is for a type of family planning, my wife and I have had five children together and believe that our family is complete so I had a vasectomy done. The cost of the vasectomy, after my insurance covered some of the charge, was $495 total. I was kind of upset about this as no one told me how much the procedure was going to be and I thought my insurance was going to cover 100% of the charges.
Review of Service
Well, I can't really sit here and say how happy I was when I left the hospital. We weren't planning to have a fifth child, but things happen and we had to step to the plate to take care of our new born. I used this vasectomy as kind of a punishment to myself to ensure that I can no longer have children. My wife was scared out of having her tubes tibed by the doctor by telling my wife the last woman he preformed the procedure on had died of complications coming from tieing her tubes, so there was no way my wife was going to have it done.
Tips
It's not as bad as alot of people think. They prescribe you really strong pain medication, so I slept through most of the pain. BUT BEWARE, make sure that you are 100% sure that your insurance company will cover the charge.
