Description of service
We talked to our general practitioner, she recommended a Urologist. Made appointment with Urologist. Had a consultation about side effects, what to expect after the procedure. We then had the procedure done in his office at that time.
Review of Service
I was apprehensive, the staff was very friendly. No one looked at me funny, but then again no one took it for granted this was important in my small world. The doctor did not rush the consultation. He asked why I wanted it. Explained the procedure, how it was done, how it would effect me hour by hour. What to look for that was not good. What pain killers I should take, or if I wanted a prescription pain killer for a day or two.
I then laid back and the procedure. He numbed the area, talked while he worked. I felt slight pressure, but no pain until he pulled something. It did not hurt much, I was jumpy to begin with. He put in two dissolving stitches. They gave me orange juice and held me for a minute or two to make sure I was ok, then I went home.
Recovered in a day or two with minor discomfort.
Tips
Take your wife or girl friend. I doubt you'll need them to drive, but you both should listen to the doctor. Don't do this alone, emotionally you'll feel better she was with you.
When ejaculating a few days later, I had some blood in ejaculate, I am told this is ok. It scared me to death. If it happens to you don't panic but call the doctor. Just wanted you to be aware it can happen.
