Description of service
I took a judo class for this price per week. It was a pretty average price. Classes for judo lessons range from around $25 up to $75 a week for children to adults. Cost covers lessons but you will need a gi (judo uniform) as normal clothes can't handle the stress. Also you may be required to pay for your belt (depending on rank). Tournaments are a separate charge and are usually not mandatory. Your training begins as a white belt and you learn some pretty easy throws and most importantly how to land. Depending on your age as you progress in level you learn arm holds and choke holds as well. Judo is a gentle art and involves no punching or kicking of any kind, but that's not to say you won't learn something to defend yourself.
Review of Service
The classes are scheduled several times a week for convenience sake. The teachers are very thorough and will work with you on the techniques to make sure you have a full grasp of them. Students are required to help keep the dojo up so don't be afraid of work. The instructors have a good understanding of anatomy and all black belts know first aid in case any accidents happen.
Tips
When just starting don't try to hit every class in the week. The exercise session of the class will be to much for your body. Add days as you feel your able and never be afraid to ask a question. The instructors are not afraid of good questions and will work with you to make sure you understand the concepts.
