Description of service
I applied for Judo lessons in Newark, Ohio after getting into MMA thanks to UFC. I wanted to see how hard Judo and BJJ was. This fitness facility did not offer BJJ, so I signed up for the Judo classes instead. The instructor was very professional and tweaked lessons for everyone's level of comfort, as well as their level of fitness. I was not the fittest of people, but he did not hold that against me in the lesson. He slowed the process down and even brought in a couple more instructors to instruct the high level martial artists while he worked with the slower learners to Judo like myself.
Review of Service
The service was great! I learned a lot with the instructor. He held classes twice a week and always held a review everyday before the next lesson was introduced. He worked with the slower learners the art while other instructors worked with the higher level. I was very nervous coming into the class because I had no exposure to Judo except for what I saw on TV during MMA fights, but that doesn't mean I knew what I was doing!
Tips
Go locally where you can take a friend to the class with you. Have an open mind and be willing to take criticism to make yourself better.
