the Cost of Auto Body Repair

The car hit the divider due to flat tire and majorly damaged my front bumper. The driver airbag got deployed, the hood got bent up, 1 headlamp bulb broken and left and right fenders very slighly bent.

The cost of the bumper was close to $ 600,front body reinf close to $ 700, the lamps costed close to $ 25, fenders close to $ 120 and the labour cost was close to $ 160.

All put together I paid $ 1800.

This place was referred to me by my friend. The service received was not extradinary but just good. I had to drop of the car and pick it up later. I didn't get a call still late afternoon. The mechanic told me that they will call me back with an estimate. THen they called me almost at the end of the day and told the work will be done only the next day. I got my car after 2 days. I had to struggle without a car till then, but the job was done right and the car looked good.I was also told the price was nominal.

Most of the time, we are forced to drive the car or tow the car to the nearest mechanic in case of a collision. I strongly recommend to have a roadside service help membership through a professional organisation or insurance. It saves you a lot of money in towing alone.
