Description of service
I received braces on both the top and the bottom of my mouth. The orthodontist x-rayed my teeth and jaw, then made a mold of teeth, then put the braces on. The cost of it was around 5,000 dollars. But with insurance, the amount that we ended up paying was around 2,300.
Review of Service
The first thing that the orthodontist did was x-ray my teeth. Then after that he made a mold of my teeth and gums. After returning to him at an appointment 2 weeks later, he put the top brackets and wire on my teeth. He left the bottom the same at the time. I had to reschedule for an appointment that was close to a month later. After I returned to the orthodontist for the the third time I got everything put on my bottom row of teeth as well. He then discussed with me that i needed to return periodically to: clean out everything stuck in the bracket, and then also replace the rubber bands on the braces. Next, he would adjust the tightness of the braces according to how they were shifting.
Tips
Make sure that you have insurance when you decide to get braces. Also double check that if you do have insurance that they actually cover the braces. And also follow everything that the orthodontist tells you to do.
