Description of service
We paid 135.00 for the retainer, and 273 for the "records" which is (having a mold made of the mouth to make a retainer). Then while using the retainer the visits were a few until the orthodontist said My Daughter's teeth had moved enough to have the braces put on. Then we were required to pay 1018.00 down for those braces. Then we were suppose to pay 25 payments @ 178.00. Then we pay for the final retainer which is something they are suppose to wear somewhat regularly (about 2 times a week) for years to keep them held where they belong. That costs 496.00 When I add them up it's more than what I paid. They said I received a discount for paying more up front.
Review of Service
The service is great. We live in a small town and shortly after my daughter got her braces on the office began running 1 time a month with a location in our town. My son had always went to Spartanburg, SC. for his braces so this was our second go around and braces are expensive. There was no Orthodontist in our small city until our Orthodontist started renting office space once a month and then We didn't have to go into Spartanburg, anymore either. We really love our Orthodontist. Plus we feel it's a lifetime investment. This type of treatment is for the worst case basically. In other words some people will be able to use less of this type of treatment and pay less and get the results they need.
Tips
They took very lump sum payments from us and therefore gave us a discount. We paid over 3 years with the flexible spending account. 1000.00 the first year, (that was in December what we had left in there) 2,500.00 the next lump sum which the Orthodontist got all within 2 or 3 month of my Daughters' initial visit for treatment the December before. Then the balance of 2706 12 months later.
