the Price of an Orthodontist

Straightening of the teeth with the new technology which are made from high tech kind of plastic that comes in the shape of your teeth is 'worn on the teeth' all day and night except when you brush your teeth and eat. That included x-ray for the initial planning, a set of the plates for the duration of the procedure which will last from two to three years (in my case). It also includes regular visits every two to three weeks to assess the movement of the teeth and possibly switch to the next plate.

I'm only six months into the procedure and so far the results are better than expected and it looks that the completion should be closer to two years than to three years. The plates need some time to get adjusted to, but they can always be taken out.

Negotiating a better price is definitely a possibility. Since it is a long term relationship between the orthodontist and the patient and the orthodontist is already paying all the expenses anyway, they are motivated to be flexible with the price. If you're willing to pay the whole amount in advance then expect for an even bigger discount.
