Description of service

I took a sewing class for beginners. It was a class for people with sewing machines. The cost of the 3 hour class was $85 and did not include supplies.

Review of Service

I got a sewing machine for Christmas and had no idea how to use it so I took a beginner's sewing class. We were e-mailed a list with things to buy in order to make our project, which was a pillow. I didn't know what some of the things were but I took the list to a local craft store and they were able to help me.

The class was great. They started off by going through the basics of the sewing machine, including what the different types of feet were for and how to maintain our machines. They then went through step by step and helped us make our first project, a pillow! I was shocked by how great it came out. When I walked in I knew nothing about sewing but when I left I'd already made a pillow. The only downside was that I had to lug my own machine to the class.

Tips

Try and find a class that includes use of their sewing machines. Carrying your sewing machine around is a pain and can lead to breakage.
