Description of service

Sales and lessons for how to use sewing machines, as well as quilting, knitting, and other types of craft materials available for lessons and sales. I took a class in machine sewing.

Review of Service

This class was a great refresher for me. I purchased a sewing machine a few years ago because I was taught some basic sewing when I was little. I never figured out how to use the thing, so it was collecting dust on a shelf in my closet. I took this beginning sewing class, and had sewed my son a blanket in no time. It was fun and easy to follow--I just wish I had actually signed up for a bit more advanced class. Once I was shown the basic functions of my sewing machine, I remembered everything I learned when I was younger. Regardless, it was a great refresher course, and the teacher was patient and very easy to listen to, as well as extremely well-practiced on the art of sewing.

Tips

If you have ever learned to sew, don't sign up for a beginner class. Once you get started, it will all come back to you, and you will wish you had signed up for a more advanced class. If possible bring your own sewing machine with so you can learn to use your particular machine--they are basically the same, but many have different options and uses, so it helps to familiarize yourself better with your own sewing machine.
