Description of service
I subscribe to DSL internet service that runs through my home phone land line. This price includes the monthly service and use of the DSL modem, which the company supplied to me when the service began.
Review of Service
The DSL service is fine. I have not had any real problems with it. The DSL modem loses the signal about 3 times a year and I have to turn it off and on again then login to my router again. But, that solves the problem. I run my DSL through a wireless router, which undoubtedly slows things down a bit. Plus, I don't have the greatest of computers. So, I am probably not the best judge of speed. However, when I have run on-line speed tests, I consistently come up on the top ten percent in my area. So, that speaks for something. I have a good price on the service, perhaps better than most. I got a discount for having all of my services with the same company - phone, wireless, internet, long distance. The bundle discount makes DSL service about ten dollars cheaper per month.
Tips
Ask about bundle discounts if you have more than one service with your internet provider. Also, if you are looking for new service, look around on the web for promotions. Companies almost always give something free (i.e. a router or even a TV) or a special introductory rate for new customers.
