the Cost of DSL Internet Access

This nationwide internet provider has been fairly good at its service. I would stay with them if they continued to maintain this level of service.

DSL(also known as broadband) is a high-speed internet service similar to cable, except it runs through the phone line. As such, it is quite easy to obtain through your existing phone service provider. The supplied equipment worked extremely well for a while. One day though it broke down and I requested a replacement. The replacement was shipped promptly for free, but it did not work. I told the provider I would just keep the one I had and figure something else out. A third-party product turned out to work well and is continuing to work well. My experiences with customer service have been unusual. Many times I have gotten a complete idiot on the line, however, simply calling back to get a different person yields better results. Many problems can be fixed at home without a phone call, and most of the time the service is stable enough to justify the cost. I would not pay more than what I am paying now.

Get a third party modem/router when you buy this service, it will work better than the unit sent to you. It may take more headache to set it up initially, but it is worth the investment!
