Description of service
This is the price I paid to have the original wood floors repaired in my kitchen area. In early November, we had a small kitchen fire that resulted in numerous burn marks on my wood floors in the area immediately surrounding the stove. The area was approximately 3 feet by 4 feet wide. Unfortunately, we had just gotten our floors refinished just a few months prior to the fire. So, I knew how expensive and time consuming such a project was. Luckily, I found someone who was capable of refinishing only the burnt area. The process took about one week to complete. The cost included all fees associated with the repair.
Review of Service
We recieved estimates from two other people who both told us the entire kitchen would need to be refinished for the best results. So, I was extemeely happy to find someone willing to only refinish the damaged area. The person told us ahead of time that there could possibly be a slight line where the damage had been. However, I honestly can not see any sign that the floor was damaged. It looks great! The man who complated the repair was efficient, friendly, and honest.
Tips
If you are in a situation where damage has occurred to flooring, try to get at least three estimates to find out exactly what your options are. You certainly do not want the hassle or expense of having your entire floor refinished if you do not have to do so!
