Description of service
I recently put in my own, nice, hard-wood floors. Around the same time my son received his very first puppy to love and care for. This is fine, except this dog has very long, sharp nails. These nails scratched my floors. I had a hard-wood floor restoration guy come to my house and gave me an estimate of $1400. This seemed expensive, but I have a home with a lot of square feet. So I accepted. He resurfaced my hard wood floors in just under two days. Some areas, that my son's dog frequented, were deeply scratched and took more time then originally estimated. These deep scratches required a special filler and cost me a lot of money.
Review of Service
I am happy with the services done in my home. Although the time required to complete the task was considerable, the services were top-notch. The man doing the job was very honest and was in good spirit, which is nice. I was charged $15 an hour for labor, plus the costs of all the refinishing material used. It came out to $1200, a bit cheaper than the original estimate. I would use the same company again. They were interested in what I wanted specifically.
Tips
I would suggest that anyone looking to redo their hard-wood floors consider doing their research, locate the products and tools needed to do the project themselves, and possibly save a lot of money due to the cut out labor costs.
