Description of service

After foundation settled in my home, we found that it had formed cracks throughout the tiled kitchen and dining area. It was not still covered under warranty, however, after making several calls to the initial homebuilders, we were able to get the name and color of the exact tile used. From there we then hired a professional to complete the task at hand.

Review of Service

At first glance, my husband and I thought that with a little research and a basic understanding of tile installation, we could probabley simply do the job ourselves. But, to our shock and dismay, after digging into the matter further we decided that we were much better off safe than sorry, and we hired a professional tiler to come and do the work for us. What was great about this company is that because we had done the dirty work in locating the tiles needed for them, they cut a few bucks off of the total price. They were more than willing to work around our hectic schedules, and always on time. They did a supurb job, even the grout between is gorgeous. Over all my husband and I firmly believe that we made the right decision in not undertaking the job ourselves. We are more than pleased with the result, as well as the service we received! Our tile looks better than ever!

Tips

Customers trying to save money by buying tile themselves could end up wasting money, time and quite possibly ruining their floors. Most professionals can buy materials for less than retail and extend savings to the you becuase they are able to buy in bulk lots. Also, tile setters will more likely place an order correctly the first time. A job may need to ordered then re ordered because you didn't realize all of the special and corner pieces needed to complete it. Finally, because tile comes in different dye lots, it may not even be possible to find matching pieces when buying or ordering more tiles later. It usually saves everyone a lot of headaches to let the tile setter be responsible for the measuring and ordering.
