Description of service
The price covered deep cleaning and sealing of two bathroom tile floors ($30 per room to clean, and $20 per room to seal), including stripping off the remnants of the existing dilapidated sealant.
The company also does floor cleaning, including carpets, for $30 per room up to 250 square feet. As well as regrouting tile floors, cleaning upholstery, and removing pet stains. Prices vary depending on the size of the job and time it takes to complete.
Review of Service
After scrubbing ground in crud for the umpteenth time from beside the bathtub and not getting rid of the stains, we decided to get the tiles resealed. We got a recommendation from a friend for a company to do the work (they'd been in business about 30 years under the same management, which is always nice) and since the prices were entirely reasonable, hired them to do the work.
They had us clear out of the general area of each bathroom and set up exhaust fans out the windows because they were using muriatic acid to strip the tiles. Cleaning went quick. Once the floors were dry, they went over them with lint-free tacky cloths to pick up any stray dust and hair, then they laid down a semi-gloss sealant, which we had to stay off of for a few hours while it cured.
Tips
I couldn't recommend this more. Cleaning the bathroom floors went from scrubbing on hands and knees for a half-hour to a quick sweep and mop. If you do get it done, make sure the floor is clean before you do or you'll have hair and dust trapped between the sealant and the floor.
