Description of service

I wanted my floor refinished after scratching. These people offer repair and refinishing of hardwood, ceramic, and natural stone floors, as well as estimates, consultations, and referrals for other types of flooring specialties.

Review of Service

The service was okay. I scratched my hardwood floors somehow right after Christmas of 2007, and in March of 2008 decided to have the floor refinished. The service was slow. It took almost two weeks to get the guys to my house after the initial bid. The process was tedious, as well, and the refinishers wouldn't move any appliances. I was surprised they didn't mention it when they gave the initial bid, but I guess it was in the fine print in the contract. The process was loud, dusty, and smelly, and I hope I never have to have my floors refinished ever again! I may just decide to live with scratches from now on!

Tips

Go somewhere if you can while your wood floors are being refinished. The sanders are loud and throw up a lot of dust into the air. The refinishing uses strong chemicals and stains and sealers, too, which can irritate your eyes, nose, and throat. Get more than one bid for a job, and see if they will help move your appliances out of the way when they arrive to finish your floor.
