We moved out of our nice apartment into a rented house with friends to try to save money. We inspected the house before we moved in and even cleaned everything thoroughly yet in just a few short weeks we found mice droppings. It was a pretty wooded area so I guess they could have come in from our friend's kids leaving the door open. We also had a problem with these spider looking bugs. The were a yellowish white color and they looked like pretty big spiders but they could JUMP. It was gross. We didn't even notice these things when we moved in so it was a shock when they started appearing everywhere.
Review of Service
After a week of killing these bugs and setting mice traps I'd finally had enough. I had my husband call a well known pest control company. They were extremely nice and even gave us a 15 percent discount from the normal prices. We did have to find somewhere to keep our cat for a day and we had to stay out of the house but they really did get rid of our problems. I think that you can have them do routine maintenance every few months as well but I'm not sure how much it costs. They will just come out and spray your exterior so you don't have to worry about anything getting in.
Tips
Beware of some of these pest control companies. They will try to get you to sign year long contracts that cost around 700+ a year. Also contact a few different companies before you make your decision. Most of them offer free estimates.
