The climate in Alabama is very humid, so it is easy to end up with bugs in your house if you don't take precautions. I think that this service is worth the money.

Some climates may not require monthly pest control service. Have an evaluation done and go with pest control service that meets you needs. If available, I highly recommend using an organic or all natural company.
