Description of service
Quarterly charge for pest control services including rodents and insects. The agent comes out every 3 months to check traps and set new ones and be sure that there is no pest infestation that we do not know about. The initial charge for the first quarter was $130 to set up an account, and the $90 applies to each quarter thereafter.
Review of Service
We had a serious mouse infestation when we moved into our new rural home. The house had sat vacant for well over a year, which allowed the mice to take over. When we moved in, we found mice running our countertops all day long often in broad daylight. We tried traditional traps and deterants, but nothing worked. We finally broke down and called an exterminator. They came out about a week later and assessed the situation with me explaining where we saw the most activity. They set traps where they thought they would be most efficient based on my stories and their experience combined. The traps had a bait in it that made the mice want to go outside and die. After about 2 weeks, we noticed that there were no more mice. I'm not one that likes to kill little animals, but with toddlers in my house I couldn't afford to have the dirt and germs that come along with mice. They have been back since and rebaited the traps, putting extra in where they were most used. We have not seen another mouse since they were here.
Tips
Research a couple of companies to see what services they offer. This particular company is a full pest control service, so the next quarter in the Spring they will be treating for ants and bees as well. We had a carpenter bee issue last year, so it is good to know that they will handle that for us as well.
