Just towards the end of the summer as the weather got a little cooler, we began to see more bugs around our property and some of them getting inside the house, so we called a pest control company to come out and spray. Because we have pets, we asked that the pest control worker use the product that is not harmful to animals. The total cost was $80, and he sprayed the yard and around the outside of the house with a strong version of the pesticide, and then used a milder version inside the house. It took him about 40 minutes to complete the work.

We started to see a big decline in the amount of bugs in the yard and around the house within a day or so of the pest control treatment. We were very satisfied with the result and it seemed to last for about 6-8 weeks, which was longer than we expected. The cost of the service was fair, and I appreciated that the worker used two different strengths of the spray and that there was no negative impact on our pets. We have since used the same pest control company again with good results.

If you have pets or children that spend a lot of time on the floor or out in the yard, be sure to ask if the company has a milder version of the spray that is meant for those types of activities. Also check to see if there is a guarantee as to the result so that the company will come back at no charge if the bugs are not entirely eliminated for a certain period of time.
