Description of service
The above price is for weekly guitar lessons by a private tutor in his home. He teaches beginning and intermediate guitar and does not use any specific curriculum
Review of Service
He's a very good teacher. Often, our appointment will last a bit longer than the 30 minutes alloted, and I get the sense that he really enjoys what he's doing. My appointment happens to be the last of the day, so I imagine that I wouldn't be getting any extra time if there was someone waiting for the next appointment. We always start on time, and he has learned several songs that I wanted him to teach me. I don't have any great guitar ambitions, but for my purposes these lessons are perfect: they are pretty informal and not very rigorous.
Tips
Find a teacher who you get along well with. Many teachers offer free introductory lessons, and this is a great opportunity to see if you like his or her style. Also, if you have specific musical goals, make that known up front and look for someone who is both willing and able to help you meet your goals. Finally, definitely make sure that you understand the instructor's cancellation policy. You may find that if you don't give sufficient you'll still end up paying for the lesson.
