Review of Service
I felt like the $25 per hour was a more than fair price, considering that for some beginner guitar lessons, you pay anywhere from 15-20 per half hour. I was given specific detailed teaching, easy to understand, and my teacher took very good care to improve on my weaknesses as a guitar player. I feel like the hour he gave me improved my playing skills by nearly double! i had never taken any lessons, i am self taught. So as a "street" player, if you will, he was able to show me some tricks to refine my abilities. I imagine that you would probably pay more in another city so i really felt like this was an incredible deal. So if you want to learn how to play Jazz, or get some specific lessons and you are an advanced player you can sharpen your skills for a very small price, and it may only take one or two lessons for an already experienced player to really get something out of it.
To me the service was worth way more than the 25 bucks an hour that i paid (i probably would've paid 100 had i known what i would get out of it!), and the self confidence i've gotten as a guitar player is priceless! i would really reccomend all guitar players go out and take a lesson from from a good teacher every once in a while to stay sharp!
Tips
Look around for teachers who may have experience in teaching more advanced students. Some teachers are used to teaching beginners and may treat you as such, so be careful when finding the right teacher!
