the Price of Guitar Lessons

I take guitar lessons once a week. My lesson is $45.00 for one hour. It is a one on one class. My teacher has been in the music business for over 20 years and has around 25 years of experience with the guitar. My classes are held at a local folk school in a small room. Once every 6 months we can take place in a recital if we choose. There is no additional fee to take place in the recital.

I've been very happy with my experience so far. My teacher has a lot of experience. The one on one atmosphere allows me to learn at my own pace and not feel a lot of pressure or be nervous to play. I have not taken advantage of the opportunity to perform in a recital but from what I've heard they are a lot of fun. The only complaint I have is that occasionally my instructor is not available and instead of telling me so we can reschedule or just skip a week another instructor shows up. So there's a little bit of bad communication on their part but otherwise it's been a great experience.

I definitely recommend paying a bit more to have one on one lessons. It might cost more but you get much more out of it so it's a better value.
