Description of service
The service was weekly 1-hour guitar training sessions. It was actually a high school student that did the lessons, and that is why they were so affordable. The student giving the lessons was a friend referred to us by our local church youth group. The lessons were for our younger son.
Review of Service
We were very pleased. Even though the teacher doing the training was "just a high school student" the level of instruction was actually very professional. The student instructor is very very talented with the guitar, and the lessons were great for our son because he was able to relate to the instructor and get relaxed and comfortable during the sessions. It really was a win-win opportunity: chance for the student to get a few extra bucks doing something he loved anyway, and a chance for us to get affordable guitar lessons for our son.
Tips
My tip would be to ask local people in the community (eg: band teacher at the high school) for referals of some student that is talented and might be good at doing lessons like I described above. Particularly if the lessons are for a younger child, they might be able to relate well with a high school student. Perhaps even more importantly, it can make the classes very affordable.
