Description of service
We contracted temporary employees to perform data entry functions at our facility. They had to ahve a minumum of 9000 keystrokes per hour. The agency tested each candidate. Then the candidate came to our site for an interview. We then administered our own test, and hired them based on our reesults.
Review of Service
Most of the time we received ecent candidates, but when we went to test them at our site, they \had difficulty in passing our data entry test. Some of the candidates did not like the fact that they were required to work on every Saturday, even though we told the temp agency that Saturdays were a rtequired day of work. The agency did not do a very good job at describing the work they had to perform and the days that were required of them. There was one person that was highly recommended by the agency that turned out to be a total troublemaker. He would pass notes around the room, trying to turn the other employees against each other. I do not think the screening process was very thorough.
Tips
Always get a complete picture of the screening process that the agency will put hte prospective candidate through. Make sure any testing that is being given to each person is on the same level as the one that your company uses. If they are nopt the same, find out what the difference is, and make sure you account for it when ytou bring the person in for an interview.
