the Cost of Air Conditioner Repair

It has been starting to get hot out, so I thought that I would crank up the Air Conditioning for the first time this year last week. To my surprise the air conditioning didn't work. Air was coming out of the vents, but it was warm air and the air conditioning was obviously broken. I called a repair man I found in the newspaper to come and investagate the problem. I was quoted "around $150" by the repair man, but the actual cost was closer to $175 after parts and labor.

The service was fine, the repair man showed up right on time and fixed the issue in just a couple of hours. He didn't make a mess in my yard, or in my house, so I was happy about that. Most repair man have left me a mess to clean up behind them but not this one. Once he was done he tested the air conditioning which was now very cold. He handed me a slip for the bill and told me to mail in the payment when I was ready to pay.

If it's really hot out side, it's nice to be able to come into a cool home so finding someone quickly was very important to me. You can check your local newspaper for advertisements or even your yellow pages. The internet is not an ideal place to find repair men, but you could also ask around to family and friends to find good referrals.
