Description of service
Last spring, when the heat was starting, our central air unit was not working. When my husband couldn't figure out why we called someone in to take a lookt at it. It was a sunday and very hot, but they came right out and took a look at it. They had to replace some part of the unit because a spider had crawled down into it and fried some electrical component.
Review of Service
Because it was a local, small company based out of their home, they were able to come out, even though it was a weekend, right away. They charged $100 for the service and the part, which seemed reasonable - considering it was both the weekend and the part was included.
Tips
Many of the larger places are not open on weekends, which means you have to wait until a weekday - which can mean a hot day and night, or a whole weekend... so look up the smaller places. They have great service and you can probably get them out almost immediatly. Besides, it is much better to support the struggling home businesses than the conglomerate type places that make tons of money. And check for spiders first, then you can just pick up the part and save yourself some money!
