Description of service
I used a local rental car center. I had initially reserved my rental three months ahead of time to save money. I was going to use this large van to take my family to San Antonio as a family vacation. For a family of four, it would have cost me over 900.00 just to fly there and back. Not to mention the attractions, food, and hotel.
When the time came to pick up the vehicle, I drove up to the rental place to find that they don't have my van!
Review of Service
Surprised that my van was not available, I began to panic. However, before I could, the manager had said that he had requested one from the airport to be delivered and should be arriving within fifteen minutes. Thinking that all the specifics I ordered such as bucket seats, sunroof and power locks and windows were long gone. Who knows what clunker I would end up with. Sure enough, fifteen minutes later, the manager hands me a set of keys and he requested that I inspect the van for any damages. I exited the building and to my left was an old 80's white beat up van and some beautiful SUV type of Dodge van. Well, I tried the key in the clunker and some guy asked me what I was doing. I told him that I am here to rent a van and turns out that the Dodge was mine! This was great! Duel LCD DVD players too! And then some!
Tips
Go with your gut. But quite honestly, I have had some terrible experiences and the one that ended up doing the best service was the one I CHOSE. Not the recommended one by my coworker or buddy.
