Description of service
The service was replacing the transmission on our Chrysler Town & Country minivan. The transmission blew after aprox. 77,000 miles and we needed the van for our family.
Review of Service
The service itself was great in that it was fast, and the new transmission works like a charm. The service people were also friendly, courteous, and professional. However, the big problem is how costly it was. It was disheartening to have to sink such a large sum of money into such an old vehicle. We needed the car at the time for our kids but probably could have had a similar size newer car for little more than we had to pay to repair this one.
Tips
My tip would be to take advantage of any and all government programs, such as Cash for Clunkers, to get a better value on your dollar for all things car related. Its a tough time right now in this Country so you need to take any help you can get. After going through all of this it was evident that sinking so much money into an old car was wasteful. If we had to do it again, I would maximize the trade-in value and purchase a new or newer used car.
