Description of service

My bike hasn't been working too great lately so I took it in for some maintenance. The shop took a quick look at the bike and told me that the brakes were about shot and that the chain needed to be replaced otherwise it would probably break out on the trail. Since I wanted to have a safe bike I went ahead with having them repair the bike since I didn't know anything about a bike other than how to ride it. The brake repair cost $20 this was for new brake pads. The chain cost $40 to take the old one off and replace it with the new one.

Review of Service

Any thing like this is expensive, but if you don't know how to do it yourself you might as well leave it to the professionals. Besides they can do it faster and better. I was lucky enough for them to have the parts in stock so they could repair the bike while I waited. I spent maybe one hour waiting but as opposed to coming back later I chose to wait, besides I would have had to walk home. I'd rather wait for the bike then I would probably get home about the same time had I walked to wait. Great fast service. I'm now ready to hit the trails.

Tips

If you're an experienced biker who knows how to fix a bike then I would say do it yourself. Unfortunately I have no clue so I just paid to have it done.
